Abstract
The objective of this study is to report the experience of popular education, guided by the Culture Circle, about occupational risks in the everyday work of women in the dairy. We conducted an action-research with a qualitative approach. Attended the research 16 professionals of the Family Health Strategy and 15 rural women workers of milk production, in a municipality of Santa Catarina. The researched included individual interviews conducted with the professionals and observation of routine work activities of the women, as well as activities of Popular Education in Health. Data were analyzed using Content Analysis. The interpretations of the data allowed us to know the risks present in the activities of women workers, and the development of the Culture Circle provided by the knowledge and values of the participants, the production of knowledge to dealing with workplace risks and promoting self-care work in rural areas. Finally, it is considered that culture circle is a strategy of health education that enables the expansion of popular and scientific knowledge, providing advances in health promotion from the perspective of individual, collective and social mobilization.A Tempus garante critérios rigorosos, por meio de avaliação sistemática.
