Abstract

The Community Health Workers is considered the main actor in the process of socializing information from users and promoting community mobilization, reside in the area where they work and have extended links with the population. Thus, due to the constant interpersonal relationships in the development of work, ethical conflicts arise in their daily lives. Thus, the study aims to understand the ethical conflicts that permeate the daily work of community health agents. A qualitative study was carried out and data collection took place through two focus groups, one with six participants and the other with five, from October to December 2016, in a municipality in the Zona da Mata region of the state of Minas Gerais . Data analysis was performed using Bardin's Content Analysis technique. Four categories emerged, which report ethical conflicts as triggers of the communication processes of the community health agent with the team and management, relationships with users, the roles assumed and their professional posture with the team. Furthermore, it is evident that it is necessary to formulate strategies in order to value the community health agent as a member of the team, in addition to creating spaces for debates on the daily life and the ethical conflicts experienced, so that there is a better quality of life for these workers and , consequently of the health to be offered to the community.
