OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE: PERCEPTIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES:: PERCEPTIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES

Abstract

Abstract: Workers' health is one of the attributions of the Unified Health System (SUS), Primary Health Care (PHC) and the Family Health Strategy (ESF) whose guideline is to develop actions in the occupational health field. This study aims to describe and analyze the perceptions and actions developed within the scope of PHC aimed at occupational health. The integrative literature review method was used in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) database. For description and analysis, nineteen publications were selected and the following categories were selected: occupational health of health professionals working in Primary Care, Workers' health and PHC, knowledge and actions aimed at occupational health in PHC. The results revealed that professionals working in health are exposed to biological, physical, chemical, ergonomic, psychological and accident risks as a result of the exercise of their work. It was also observed that workers seek care in PHC as a gateway to care for their health. It is concluded that there is a lack of articulation, knowledge, attitudes, planning and actions aimed at work-health-disease relationships. It was observed that there is a need for training and qualification for health professionals and managers with regard to occupational health.
