Abstract

Objective: to narrate the experience in managing the 2nd edition of the innovative municipal contest for the Better Care Program. Method: This is an experience report that tells the trajectory of the executive committee team linked to the Health Research Management (GEPES) in the management and organizational flows of the 2nd Contest Municipal Innovator of the Cuidar Melhor Program from January to July of 2023. The design stages of the public notice were designed, production of the platform for registration of participants, registration of municipalities, approval of practices, description of practices in writing, evaluation of the argument of practices and launch of the final result of the competition, and implementation of scientific production workshops. Results: The contest evaluated innovative health practices implemented in the municipalities of Ceará, with the 10 best practices being recognized and disseminated. The contest covered five thematic areas and entries were made through a dedicated online platform. The evaluation process included two stages: a written evaluation and an oral presentation. The final ranking of awarded municipalities was announced in April 2023. The 2nd edition of the Inovador Municipality Contest highlighted successful management practices in promoting innovation and excellence in public health at the municipal level. Final Considerations: The study presented the experience as a multidisciplinary practice in the management of the Cuidar Melhor Program in Ceará, showing the proportion of the strategy's reach at the state level. It was possible to verify that this action stood out for encouraging innovative and successful practices in public health management at the municipal level.
