Abstract

Primary Health Care (PHC) is the main gateway to the Unified Health System (SUS), it is also the communication center with the entire care network of the system. In order for the actions of Primary Care and all other actions that the SUS comprises, it is necessary for the government to guarantee fair financing, within its possibilities, in view of this, it is necessary to understand the functioning of the Previne Brasil Program, a new financing model for the primary health care. Faced with the role of the APS in expanding the Immunization Program and implementing this assistance, the study aims to evaluate the performance obtained by the 13 municipalities that make up the Massif of Baturité in the state of Ceará for indicator 5(I-5), which details proportion of 1 (one) year old children vaccinated in the APS against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, infections caused by haemophilus influenzae type b and inactivated Poliomyelitis, of the Previne Brasil program in the years 2020 to 2023, the research has a cross-sectional character, quantitative carried out in the period from August 2022 to June 2023. The survey revealed that most municipalities did not reach the stipulated target (95%) for the vaccination indicator, non-compliance may impact the allocation of resources to municipalities, requiring Investments are made in qualifying the work process and raising awareness of the importance of immunization among the population.
