Abstract
It was sought to understand how the production of care for people living with HIV / AIDS in street situations occurs in the social assistance services. This is a qualitative research, carried out in Fortaleza-CE, in the Reference Center for the Person in a Street Situation and Cirlândio Rodrigues Social and Social Center. 7 professionals and 1 user of the service participated. Semi-structured interview and systematic observation were used. The analysis involved understanding narratives. The results evidenced the production of the care to this population having as central nucleus of care the basic human needs care: bathing, feeding, washing clothes. Categorized in the following categories: "Non-care and service fragmentation in service" and "The fragility of Public Policies for the production of care". Concluding that it is necessary to expand policies and the creation of health care strategies.
