Abstract
Computer technology - so present in our daily lives - become an integral part of a workshop on mental health developed at a public outpatient clinic in the city of Manaus, Brazil. Being created from the ideals of the Psychiatric Reform, it provides a political-social environment for performing actions involving the construction of socialization and citizenship. The work is carried out with a group of users who attend the clinic and look for the the service of Psychology. It is interconnected with psychotherapy. The computer is used as a key mediator of social relations generating interest of participants on matters relating to their social, psychological and physical condition.
