Abstract

The current article aims to problematize the approximation between the fields of knowledge of Law and Public Health. The method used was a narrative review of the literature which allowed the analysis of the object from the emerging of two dichotomous categories, in the convergence of both fields, with respect to theoretical and practical perspectives. The analyzed categories were Health Law and Judicialization of Health issues. The further debate about this relationship, which involves distinct characteristics of the fields, and has significant repercussions in the social life of Brazilians who demand public policies, require the use of action strategies both from the sanitarists and from the Law agents. The interdisciplinary approach shows itself as a theoretical path to mitigate the consequences of the existing differences between fields.
