Abstract
The article discusses mandatory supervised internship in Public Health degree, based on experience report in the area of Health Surveillance on multidisciplinary team and to possible sociopolitical contributions, typical of this field of knowledge and practices, in field of Health. These contributions involve defense of human and social rights as mediators of sociability, oriented towards cultural diversity, environmental sustainability, social inclusion and citizen participation in democratic contexts. The discussion undertaken highlighted production of knowledge that took place during internship, beyond reproduction of content. In addition, it highlighted active and committed participation as an essential element to graduation in Public Health and to performance professional capable of welcoming and dealing with characteristic complexity of Health.
