Abstract

The study evaluates the teaching and learning process mediated by technologies of the professionals of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in Sobral, Ceará. An evaluative, cross-sectional study conducted at 36 Family Health Centers in Sobral, Ceará, from December 2018 to May 2019. The eligible population consisted of 86 professionals with higher education, including nurses, doctors, dentists and managers. The data were collected using an instrument. The inclusion criteria were: having taken an online course and being in professional practice, being exempted: those who did not answer all the items of the instrument.
The variables were: specialization / improvement courses (360h), refresher courses (180h) and short / extension courses (8h). The main findings showed a significant association between the female sex, being a manager of health services, taking a specialization / improvement course with the level of learning mediated by technologies totally effective for Permanent Health Education. It is concluded then that the development of courses by technologies can be a powerful strategy to stimulate PHE in the FHS.
