Abstract
Objective: to analyze the performance of the External Committee of the Chamber of Deputies aimed at monitoring the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil. Methodology: this was a qualitative documental study in which the research unit was the external commission and the bills prioritized by it. Results: at least 12 projects prioritized by the commission were transformed into law, none of which were authored by the Executive Branch. Conclusion: the External Commission acted in line with what society expected.
